Abstract:Objectives: This study addresses the knowledge gap on optimal frequency of skin self-examinations (SSE) for skin cancer prevention in the United States. Our results offer guidance on optimal SSE practices based upon recommendations from pigmented lesion expert dermatologists, and discussion on how melanoma risk factors impact these recommendations.
