Abstract:Oil saturation index (OSI) serves as an important indicator for potential movable hydrocarbons evaluation of shale oil reservoirs, which is mainly obtained through rock pyrolysis experiments. A new method is proposed to evaluate the OSI of shale quantitatively by NMR logging.
