Abstract:Hot‐rolled steel angles are utilized in various construction systems. This work presents an extensive numerical study on the behavior of hot‐rolled steel angles under concentric and eccentric compression. The numerical results were used for the evaluation of existing design procedures commonly applied in practice. In general, the analytical rules were on safe‐side in most analyzed cases.
