Xing Chen,
Manqi Zhao,
Aijuan Zheng
et al.

Abstract: Cottonseed protein concentrate (CPC) has the function of replacing soybean meal to maintain normal animal growth and development. This study involved 180 Arbor Acres (AA) broilers, which were randomly assigned to three different treatments. Each treatment had six replicates, with each replicate consisting of 10 chicks. The control group was fed a basal diet, while the CPC-1 and CPC-2 groups used CPC to replace 25% and 50% of the soybean meal in the basal diet, respectively. The study showed that replacing soyb… Show more

“…The chemical composition, ileal protein, and amino acid digestibility of CAP were analyzed, and the results were presented in Table 1 (chemical composition), Table 2 (ileal protein digestibility), and Table 3 (amino acid digestibility). The analysis methods of chemical composition, ileal protein, and amino acid digestibility were referenced on articles published in our laboratory [ 13 ].…”

“…The above amino acid contents were analyzed in a fully automated amino acid analyzer (Hitachi L-8900, Tokyo, Japan). The premix, feeding management, and vaccination of broiler chickens were the same as previously published [19]. 1 The numerical value represents the measured content of nutritional components.…”

“…At 21 and 42 days of age, two broilers with similar weights were selected in each replicate for blood collection from the brachial wing vein after a 12-h fasting period. The determination indicators and method for serum were the same as those previously published [19].…”
