Abstract:We consider the optimal multi-agent persistent monitoring problem defined on a set of nodes (targets) interconnected through a fixed graph topology. The objective is to minimize a measure of mean overall node state uncertainty evaluated over a finite time interval by controlling the motion of a team of agents. Prior work has addressed this problem through on-line parametric controllers and gradient-based methods often leading to low-performing local optima or through off-line computationally intensive centrali… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
