Evolution of distyly breakdown in Palicoureeae Robbr. & Manen and Psychotrieae Cham. & Schltdl. (Rubiaceae)

Abstract: Distyly is a floral polymorphism with reciprocal placement of male and female structures, heteromorphic selfincompatibility, and other ancillary traits. However, breeding system breakdowns and loss of polymorphism are common.
