EVOLUTIONARY TRENDS IN SPECIES COMPLEX DIAGNOSED BY CYTOGENETIC POLYMORPHISM: THE CASE OFHypostomus ancistroides(SILURIFORMES, LORICARIIDAE)

Abstract: We present a concept that summarizes the pattern of occurrence of widely distributed organisms with large chromosomal diversity, low molecular divergence, and the absence of morphological identity.
