Abstract: Current Influenza A virus (IAV) vaccines, which primarily aim to generate neutralizing antibodies against the major surface proteins of specific IAV strains predicted to circulate during the annual ‘flu’ season, are suboptimal and are characterized by relatively low annual vaccine efficacy.
