Exact solution for unsteady free convection flow of Casson fluid in vertical channel

Abstract: Abstract. The influence of free convection flow on unsteady Casson fluid over a vertical channel is studied in this paper. The governing equation consists of partial differential momentum and energy equations have been transformed into non-dimensional equations by using the appropriate nondimensional variables. The expression of exact solutions for nondimensional velocity and temperature profiles are obtained by using the Laplace transform method. The obtained exact solutions are found satisfied all the initia… Show more

“…Table 1 shows the thermophysical characteristics of blood as a base fluid and gold as nanoparticles. In numerical computations, the physical parameters have been set as 18 , 48 , 68 : β = 0.8, ϕ = 0.2, Gr = 1.0, ν f = 3 × 10 –3 , and the varied parameter values are shown in the figures.…”

“…Besides that, the natural convection flow of the various type of fluid between two vertical plates or passed through a channel has attracted researchers to investigate further its behaviour since it represents a cross-sectional cylinder. Narahari and Vijay 17 and Mohamad et al 18 considered the Newtonian fluid and Casson fluid flow past through a fixed channel. To resolve the issues, they all applied the Laplace transform technique.…”

“…Their research specifically focused on an electrically conducting Casson fluid within a vertical channel. Similarly, Mohamad et al, [17] conducted an investigation into unsteady free convection flow, specifically of a Casson fluid, within a vertical channel. These studies contribute to our understanding of the complex dynamics involved in free convection flows in channel geometries.…”

“…Human blood, juice, honey, jelly, and tomato sauce are a few examples of Casson fluid [7][8][9][10]. Inspired by the applications in various fields such as food processing and biotechnology, Mohamad et al, [11] investigated analytically Casson fluid flow past through a fixed channel with a free convection effect. Azmi et al, [12] extended the problem with an additional MHD effect.…”
