“…As previously reported ( 47 ), we used a deductive method of item generation ( 48 ) where we combined two pre-existing scales that were used in prior studies with adolescents: the Community Assessment of Psychic Experiences—Positive scale [CAPE-P15 ( 49 )], and the Brief Self-report Questionnaire for Screening Putative Pre-psychotic States [BQSPS ( 50 )]. We assessed the following domains: bizarre experiences (BE, 6 items), perceptual anomalies (PA, 3 items), social anxiety (SA, 3 items), and negative symptoms (NS, 3 items).…”

“…The Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale (Posner et al, 2011) The Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS) adapted the first subscale to be used as a self-report questionnaire (Núñez et al, 2018), assesses severity of suicidal ideation, rated on a 6-point ordinal scale. Overall Cronbach's α value for this measure was .86 in our sample.…”

“…Network analysis used in suicidal behaviour modelling suggests an association between suboptimal treatment of psychiatric illness and increased levels of suicidal ideation 73–80. Feelings of thwarted belonginess,74 75 entrapment, hopelessness and perceived burdensomeness75 77 79 81 are also core phenomena of self-harm and suicidality.…”
