GİRİŞLiken planus (LP), ilk kez 1869'da Erasmus Wilson tarafından tanımlanmış olup, cilt ve mukozaları etkileyen etiyolojisi bilinmeyen, pruritik bir dermatozdur. El bileği ve bacakların fleksor yüzü ile oral ve genital mukoz membranlarda yerleşen, mor renkli, kepekli, tepesi düz, poligonal papüler lezyonlarla karakterizedir (1) . Yetişkinlerde görülme oranı %0,1 ila %1,2 arasında değişir ve hastaların 2/3'si 30-60 yaş arasındadır. LP, çocuklarda nadirdir, toplam olguların yalnızca %1-4'ünü oluşturmaktadır (2) . Literatürde göz kapağı tutulumu ile seyreden az sayıda liken planus olgusu bulunmaktadır (3) . Burada, 9 yaşında liken planus tanısı konulan çocuk hasta göz kapağı gibi çok nadir bildirilmiş lokalizasyonda tutulumu olduğundan sunulmaktadır. OLGUDokuz yaşında erkek hasta vücutta yaklaşık 6 aydır devam eden hafif kaşıntılı mor renkli döküntü yakınması ile polikliniğimize ailesi tarafından getirildi. Hastanın özgeçmiş ve soygeçmişinde özellik yoktu. It is characterized with purple, scaly, flat polygonal papular lesions placed on flexor surface of wrist and legs and oral and genital mucous membranes. LP is rarely seen in children and constitutes only 1-4% of total cases. Eyelid involvement is rarely reported finding of LP which is an inflammatory disease. Herein, a 9-year-old child with LP is presented with very rarely reported involvement of eyelids.

Oral agents that can be used for mucosal LP are systemic glucocorticoids, griseofulvin, hydroxychloroquine, azathioprine, mycophenolate mofetil and acitretin [17]. Intraleisonal triamcinolone may be used for both oral and cutaneous LP (hypertrophic) if the child can be convinced about the procedure.…”

Introduction: Lichen planus is considered to be rare in children. However, it does not appear to be uncommon in Indian subcontinent. Aims: The study was undertaken to analyse the clinical profile of childhood lichen planus. Material and Methods:We selected 30 children with LP for the study. The children selected were below the age of 14 years of age. Results and Discussion: In our study, it was seen that that the maximum onset of disease was between 5-9 years of age and mean age of children with LP was 6.8 years. The commonest type of LP in children was classical LP seen in 60% children, followed by actinic LP in 20% children. LP hypertrophicus and linear LP were seen in 10% patients each. Nail changes were seen in 10% patients.
