“…It was used after drying over molecular sieves (type 4A) and decompression filtration before measurements. The purity of the sample was checked by density determination at 298.15 K. The density of DEG at 298.15 K was found to be 1.1132 g·cm −3 , in good agreement with the literatures. , Bidistilled water was used in this work.…”

“…In this regard, it would be helpful if one could predict the physicochemical properties of polydisperse PEGs based on the analysis of their exact composition. It should be noted that even the low average molar mass PEG 200 covers oligomers from mono- to nonaethylene glycol with tetra- and pentaethylene glycol being the most prominent components. , A perusal of the literature reveals that there are numerous reports on density and viscosity for the neat lowest oligomers diethylene glycol, ,,− , trietheylene glycol, ,− ,,,, , , , and tetraethylene glycol, ,,…”

“…In Figure a, an asymmetry stretching band ( V as ) of SO 2 was observed at 1327 cm –1 , which shows that the C–O–C asymmetry stretching band of glycrol was not affected by SO 2 . The absorption peak at 1327 cm –1 , which is reported at 1344 cm –1 for SO 2 in noncomplexing CCl 4 , can be attributed to the V as of SO 2 because the IR and Raman spectra indicate the following values for the fundamental frequencies: symmetry stretching band ( V s ) = 1151.38 cm –1 , δ = 517.69 cm –1 , and V as = 1361.76 cm –1 . Meanwhile, the phenomenon that the V as of SO 2 shifts toward lower wavenumber than V a s = 1362 cm –1 can be due to the interaction of the sulfur atom in SO 2 with other atoms.…”
