Abstract:During the third trimester of pregnancy a physiological hypercoagulability state has been reported as a consequence of hormonal changes. This produces a vulnerable state for intravascular clotting. Some pathological obstetric conditions can modify this weak balance which can lead to hemorrhage and organ failure.
