Abstract: Background: Introduction: Isolated scaphotrapeziotrapezoidal (STT) joint osteoarthritis (OA) is a relatively common condition. Scaphotrapeziotrapezoidal arthrodesis is the traditional treatment, while excisional arthroplasty with the use of flexor carpi radialis (FCR) or polycarbon implants represents a promising alternative surgical management.
