Experimental and Numerical Study of an Obliquely Towed Ship Model in Confined Waters

Abstract: In this study, the forces and moments acting on the KCS ship model as a result of oblique towing at 10 and 20 degrees drift angles are evaluated experimentally and numerically via a commercial Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes solver.
