Abstract:This study presents a novel polyurethane-activated carbon composite (PACC) as an effective and sustainable adsorbent for treating lead-ion-contaminated waters. The PACC was characterized using Scanning Electron Microscopy with Energy Dispersive X-ray (SEM-EDX), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Brunauer, Emmett, and Teller (BET) surface area analyzer, X-ray Diffraction (XRD), and Thermogravimetric Analyzer (TGA) to evaluate its physicochemical and thermal properties. Furthermore, the PACC was emp… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
