“…The performance stability of the both Pd 0.95 Co 0.05 and Pd 0.8 Ag 0.2 -infiltrated LSM cathodes improved significantly and there is basically no significant change in the overpotential during the polarization period of 2500 min at 850 • C. In the case of Pd 0.95 Co 0.05 -infiltrated LSM cathode, cobalt could substitute palladium site to form Pd 0.95 Co 0.05 O solid solutions, similar to Pd 0.95 Mn 0.05 O as reported early [19]. For Pd-Ag system, the formation of PdAg solid solution occurs in a wide range of Pd and Ag compositions [36]. Thus the good stability of the Pd 0.95 Co 0.05 and Pd 0.8 Ag 0.2 -infiltrated LSM cathodes could be attributed to the formation of Pd 0.95 Co 0.05 O and Pd 0.8 Ag 0.2 O solid solution nanoparticles.…”

“…5), although one proposed phase diagram guesses two solid-solid transitions, based on some reports of ostensibly ordered phases 58 , reliable evidence for first-order transformations in the solid state is lacking 69 . A careful review of relevant experimental literature [70][71][72][73][74][75][76] since 1961 (after ref. 58 ) suggests that, when Ag-Pd samples are annealed in the air or otherwise exposed to oxygen, the formation of oxide phases can be misinterpreted as the effects of ordering.…”

“…The example of the activity determination is given in Fig. 6 (Sopousek et al, 2010) ) and diameter of Knudsen cell can be varied according to sample character. The diameter of the effusion orifice in the middle of the alumina lid is 1 mm.…”
