“…The umbilical cable is referred to as the lifeline of the ROV since it transmits the signal and working power of the ROV and the mothership deck operating system [12].But this architecture has flaws, the umbilical cable will produce vortex induced vibration (VIV) under the effect of electricity, which will cause it to continually deform.
