Experimental study of heliothermal processing of municipal solid waste based on solar energy

Abstract: The article examines the sources of solid waste generation, their impact on the environment and human health. The morphological composition of municipal solid waste (MSW) and the factors influencing the dynamics of their change were analyzed. Based on the results of the study, the physical and thermal parameters of solid waste- ρ, φ were determined and the elemental composition and heat of combustion of solid waste were analyzed. It was found that the physical properties of MSW and the morphological compositio… Show more

“…An analysis of the operating experience of such systems shows their undoubted advantage over other types of passive solar heating systems [6][7][8][9][10]. Thus, the actual contribution of solar energy in the annual heat balance, having passive solar heating systems of the type under consideration, in the climatic conditions of the state of New Mexico, USA (…”

“…In insolation passive solar heating systems with direct heat input, as the name implies, the sun's rays passing through the glazing are absorbed by the surface of the inner fence and the mass of all fences is a heat accumulator. A distinctive feature of insolation passive solar heating systems compared to others is that the heat loss of a heated room is a function of the surface area of the light opening through which the sun's rays enter the room [2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10].…”

“…As practice shows, drying under direct sunlight leads to damage of products by various bacteria, rapid release of vitamins A and C, and burning of the product [2]. However, the use of indirect SD can solve the above problems [3][4][5][6][7].…”

“…Indirect SD for drying AP were tested for the first time in Senegal, but there is no way to control the various drying parameters in this SD5]. Cabinet-type indirect SD was first made in Algiers, this SD was designed for drying apricots and had a capacity of 25 kg [6]. R. Dilip et al [8] studied a forced convection indirect SD.…”
