Experimental study on creep characteristics of infiltrated coal-rock under load

Abstract: :For the water-rich zone in the coal tunnel rock body perennial suffer from water infiltration destabilization destruction problem. In this paper, the influence of stress level and infiltration time on the creep properties of coal-rock was systematically studied after the water infiltration test, scanning electron microscope(SEM), water content test, uniaxial compressive strength test and creep mechanical properties test. The whole process of coal-rock creep is described by Hooke's body, Kelvin body and damage e… Show more

“…Before and after immersing the standard coal samples, they were positioned in the center of the press bearing board, and the spherical seat was adjusted accordingly so that the standard coal samples on the cross-section of the hydraulic machine and the hydraulic machine on the plane of the platen is parallel to the plane of the platen, Fig. 7 illustrates the experimental procedure 18 .

“…The basic creep models of rock include the classic Burgers model 17 , the classic Nishihara model, the Maxwell model, and the Kelvin model 18 . However, these models cannot consider the creep deformation law of the third stage- tertiary creep of rock and cannot effectively consider the creep characteristics of the rock under different temperature conditions 19 , 20 and JG et al 21 ). The actual environment of rock rheology is very complex, and the analysis of its rheological law can be carried out in a variety of combinations.…”

“…The dynamic compressive strength and elastic modulus of the coal-rock combination were less than the average values for single rock and coal, while the limit strain and strain rate of the coal-rock combination were greater than the average values for single rock and coal. Zhang and Wang [23] analyzed the influence of stress level and infiltration time on the creep characteristics of coal and rock. With increasing infiltration time, the water content of coal and rock increased and tended to become stable, and the uniaxial compressive strength gradually decreased.…”
