Experimental Study on Pore Water Pressure Characteristics of Saturated Silty Sand

Abstract

In order to obtain the development of pore water pressure of silty sandy in the subway tunnel road bed, a series of dynamic triaxial tests were conducted using the GDS hollow cylindrical torsion shear instrument. The influences of different dynamic loads with different vibration frequencies, effective confining pressure and consolidation ratio were considered during the development of pore pressure. It is shown that the pore pressure development of saturated silty sand is mainly in the form of hyperbolic and S-shaped curves. The developed pore pressure models were established based on the test results, from which the corresponding parameters were also calibrated to provide a reference for the prediction of pore pressure development under cyclic loading.
