Experimental Study on the Cutting Process of Single Triticale Straws

Abstract: This paper presents experimental research on cutting a single stalk of triticale straw for the production of biofuel in the process of its compaction using the piston technique. In the first stage of the experimental study of cutting single triticale straws, the variable parameters were the moisture contents of the stem equal to 10% and 40%, the offset between the blade and the counter-blade g, and the linear velocity of the knife blade V. The blade angle and rake angle were equal to α = 0° and β = 0°. In the … Show more

“…In companies, the key strategy can be the improvement of used technologies [78] and digitalization [79]. The barriers analyzed are particularly important for energy-intensive sectors, e.g., metallurgy [10,[62][63][64][80][81][82][83]. In our opinion, while renewable energy represents a critical path toward a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future, it is not without risks and challenges.…”

“…The latter is a promising crop and, with its rational use, can be a valuable compound feed ingredient and successfully partially replace the cereal crops traditionally used [17,[23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30][31]. This becomes especially important in connection with the growing share of cereals that will be used for the production of biofuels, i.e., ethanol, biodiesel, and solid fuel pellets (e.g., [32][33][34][35]). The purpose of this review is to consider the nutritional, economic, and environmental benefits (as well as the drawbacks) of the rye-wheat hybrid triticale in poultry production.…”
