Experimental Study on the Radiative Properties of a Sedum lineare Greenroof

Abstract: Greenroofs are increasingly popular throughout the world. Radiative properties of greenroofs are important for the analysis and enhancement of their thermal performance. The radiative properties of a typical Sedum lineare greenroof were studied in this paper. Experimental results revealed that the solar radiation absorptivity, longwave radiation absorptivity and emissivity of this Sedum lineare greenroof were 0.84, 1.0 and 1.0 respectively.

“…When g s was published in mmol•m −2 •s −1 (e.g., [71]), values were divided by 41.57 for conversion, following Körner et al [72] and assuming 293 K/20 • C and 101.3 kPa. In cases where the databases did not provide sufficiently reliable information, manually researched values, e.g., [73][74][75][76][77][78][79][80][81][82][83][84], were added. This was particularly necessary for sedum/succulents.…”

“…For LAI, up to 1108 values were found for deciduous trees (1), reflecting the focus of the LAI database on woody plants with decreasing trends up to plant type (6). For sedum/succulents (6), manually researched values had to be supplemented due to a lack of data density in the databases, e.g., [73][74][75][76][77][78][79][80][81][82][83][84].…”

“…All plant leaf area index is obtained according to Zheng Peng [1]. The blade emissivity of Sedum lineare, the reflectivity of the solar radiation heat of Sedum lineare, the blade emissivity of other plants, the blade reflectivity of the long-wave of other plants are obtained according to the study of Feng Chi [2]. The reflection coefficient of the solar radiation heat of the remaining plant leaves is calculated according to the famous leaf reflection model-Prospect model.…”
