Experimental Validation of The Triangle Zig-Zag Transition Model

Abstract: ConclusionWe demonstrated that the Mangle zig-zag transition model predicts well the average pulse shape and media noise for isolated pulses. We also showed that by utilizing the percolation threshold method, the model predicts well the nonlinear amplitude drop at high densities. Further work is under way to evaluate the media noise predictions at high recording densities.
