Abstract:Spraying trials against the currant clearwing moth {Synanthedon tipuliformis) on gooseberries during 1962-1964 showed that an application of 0-08 per cent azinphos-methyl soon after harvest decreased the number of dying bushes and gave an increased yield of fruit. Further trials, using the same insecticide, in [1965][1966] showed that the larval population in the treated bushes was decreased by 50-67 per cent.
