Exploration Geochemistry Data-Application for Cu Anomaly Separation Based On Classical and Modern Statistical Methods in South Khorasan, Iran

Abstract: The polymetal mining area is located 30 kilometers northwest of Birjand, South Khorasan Province of Iran. Considering the importance of recognizing the geochemical limit value for post-analysis studies, the limit value (= non-normative visualization) in the data of the stream was identified and described using the classic and modern statistical method. Sampling method in this area was lithogeochemical samples. Simple statistical methods, K-Means, K-Medoids, Fuzzy C-Mean (FCM), Self-Organized Map (SOM), have be… Show more

“…There are various methods for exploring minerals and potential areas. Including remote sensing and satellite image analysis [2] [3], also data processing by geostatistical methods [4] [5] [6] geochemical behavior study of elements [7] [8] and integration of intelligent analytical methods [9] [10] [11]. Gilsonite is a natural, brittle, and glisten tar hydrocarbon, which has black color and looks like obsidian [12].…”

“…Remote sensing is technique of collecting information about land surface features without physical contact with them. Remote sensing has great potential for identifying altered areas associated with deposit masses thus is known as a standard method in the field of mineral exploration and it can help to study geochemical explorations [11][12][13][14][15]. [Remote sensing data] has special capabilities compared to data collection methods due to its integrity and breadth, spectral diversity, duplication of coatings, and cheapness, which today is the first factor in the study of land surface and its constituent factors [16].…”

“…It is a strategic mineral due to its high demand in the ferrochrome production industry and consequently stainless steel and other metallurgical alloys production [1]. There are various methods for exploring minerals and potential areas, including remote sensing and satellite image analysis [2] [3], also data processing by geosta-tistical methods [4] [5] [6] geochemical behavior study of elements [7] [8] and integration of intelligent analitycal methods [9] [10] [11]. The need for mineral processing of raw materials is increasing day by day and many studies have been done for the development of optimal processing technology [12].…”
