Exploring Ecologically-Friendly Urbanization: The Impact of Physical Activity on Achievement Emotions and Academic Performance among Jiangsu Higher Vocational College Students

Abstract

The study closely relates to the experiences of students at Jiangsu Higher Vocational College. These young individuals, who represent the process of urbanization in many countries, deal with the difficulties and advantages that come with modern urban living. Within the context of the fast-paced urban development in Jiangsu Province, students encounter a multifaceted combination of academic stress, city life, and emotional welfare. The importance of physical activity in enhancing cognitive function, academic performance, and emotional balance is strongly felt within this group, reflecting the worldwide discussion on the connection between exercise, academic success, and emotional well-being. Our systematic study aimed to investigate the complex relationships between physical activity, academic achievement, and emotional well-being, focusing primarily on students enrolled at Jiangsu Higher Vocational College. Upon analyzing previous studies conducted till early 2009, our research uncovered limited but favorable correlations between physical activity/fitness and academic achievement. This highlights the need for customized treatments and more investigation targeted at this particular set of students. This research highlights the significant knowledge gap about the intricate relationship between physical activity, cognitive function, and academic outcomes specific to urban adolescents, despite the absence of definitive data. Our findings support the need for detailed and thorough studies that explore the complex connections between physical exercise, emotional well-being, and academic success, with a special focus on the urbanization environment of Jiangsu. Gaining a comprehensive understanding of these processes is crucial in promoting an environmentally sustainable urban setting that facilitates both academic achievement and emotional well-being among the students at Jiangsu Higher Vocational College.
