“…At the same time, climate change threatens wild food environments and Indigenous food sys-tems (Bharucha & Pretty, 2010;Doyle et al, 2013;Ericksen, 2008;Ford, 2009;Raiten & Aimone, 2017). Wild food environments are experiencing regional climate variability, including changes in temperature and seasonal patterns (Lynn et al, 2013), which threatens wild food availability, accessibility, and quality (Ford, 2009;Parry, Canziani, Palutikof, van der Linden, & Hanson, 2007).…”

In Montana, members of the Crow Nation have observed migrations and reductions in freshwater fish populations attributable to warming waters (Doyle, Redsteer, & Eggers, 2013).…”

“…This is a concern of tribes throughout the arid and semiarid western United States (Collins et al 2010;Redsteer et al 2013). Climate change will have other impacts on tribes in the west, including the availability of traditional foods and health, increased wildfires, and impacts to critical vegetation, fish, and wildlife, among others (Lynn et al 2013;Chief et al 2014;Ford and Giles 2015;Doyle et al 2013).…”
