Abstract:Even though quantum algorithms are designed using an idealised high‐level quantum circuit description, the execution on real devices must consider the backend physical properties. Contemporary noisy intermediate‐scale quantum (NISQ) computers are characterized by limited inter‐qubit connectivity and an exclusive set of native gates, whose execution is affected by non‐negligible errors and non‐idealities. Quantum compilation, consisting of logic and layout synthesis, aims to recast the original circuit descript… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
