Exploring the Bioactive Potentials of C60-AgNPs Nano-Composites against Malignancies and Microbial Infections

Abstract: At present, the potential role of the AgNPs/endo-fullerene molecule metal nano-composite has been evaluated over the biosystems in-vitro. The intra-atomic configuration of the fullerene molecule (C60) has been studied in-vitro for the anti-proliferative activity of human breast adenocarcinoma (MDA-MB-231) cell lines and antimicrobial activity against a few human pathogens that have been augmented with the pristine surface plasmonic electrons and antibiotic activity of AgNPs. Furthermore, FTIR revealed the basi… Show more

“…Previous studies have shown the antioxidant activities of bioinspired AgNPs synthesized from root extract of Nepeta leucophylla, and aerial extract of Lippia nodiflora respectively [ 46 , 47 ]. [ 48 ] also reported a dose dependent antioxidant potential for C 60 -AgNPs Nanocomposites. Such promising antioxidant potential of green synthesized NPs validates their importance as novel tools against plethora of diseases.…”

“…As shown in Fig. 2 B, FTIR wave signals at 1428 cm −1 , 1181 cm −1 , 575 cm −1 and 526 cm −1 were specific signals from fullerene owing to the intramolecular vibration of C60 skeleton structure [ 29 , 35 ]. XPS spectra showed a new N1s signal at 400.0 eV and an enhanced signal at 533.0 eV in C60@PDA (Fig.…”
