Exploring the mediating role of dynamic capabilities in the relationship between intellectual capital and performance of information and communications technology firms

Abstract

Many countries are in the process of transforming from manufacturing- to knowledge-based economies. This trend has created a need for innovative and in which information and communications technology (ICT) has had an increasingly large impact on economic and social life, especially in Industrial Revolution 4.0 era. The development of ICT has enabled “information societies” of more than three billion people to access the Internet, with eight out of 10 Internet users owning a smartphone (VietNamNet, 2020). The demand for ICT services is increasing by leaps and bounds. This rapid growth has led ICT to become the one of the main drivers of economic growth as well as a cornerstone of daily life in many countries.
