Abstract: Evidence suggests that measurement uncertainty is among the most important factors for reliability assessment. Uncertainty plays a vital role in maximising velocity calculation accuracy in crash reconstruction works. It serves as a reliable calculation tolerance, whereby its contribution becomes more significant when the calculated initial velocity is nearly approaching the posted speed limit.
