Explosive Cyclones in the CORDEX-CORE projections for Southern Hemisphere domains

Abstract: <p>Explosive cyclones (ECs) are extratropical systems, often associated with extreme events,  which experience a fast deepening (~24 hPa/24 h) over a relatively short time range.
