Expression Analysis of Long Non-Coding RNAs Related With FOXM1, GATA3, FOXA1 and ESR1 in Breast Tissues

Abstract: Breast cancer is the most common neoplasm among females. Estrogen receptor (ESR) signaling has a prominent impact in the pathogenesis of breast cancer. Among the transcription factors associated with ESR signaling, FOXM1, GATA3, FOXA1 and ESR1 have been suggested as a candidate in the pathogenesis of this neoplasm. In the current project, we have designed an in silico approach to find long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) that regulate these transcription factors. Then, we used clinical samples to carry out validatio… Show more

“…Interestingly, a long noncoding RNA was found to be encoded on the antisense strand of RAMP2 and was denoted RAMP2-AS1. RAMP2-AS1 regulates endothelial cell homeostasis and may also play a role in cancer-related angiogenesis ( Cheng et al, 2020 ; Hassani et al, 2021 ; Lai et al, 2021 ; Song et al, 2021 ; Li et al, 2022 ).…”

“…This is consistent with the results of our study. LINC00893 [ 37 ], LINC00894 [ 38 ], and RAMP2-AS1 [ 39 ] are protective factors for colon, thyroid, and breast cancer, respectively. Interestingly, RAMP2-AS1, LINC00893, and LINC00894 are also downregulated in our study model.…”

“…LINC01513 was underexpressed in nasopharyngeal carcinoma ( Wang J. et al, 2021 ). However, AC144450.1 has been found to be highly expressed in the breast tissue relative to the adjacent tissue ( Hassani et al, 2021 ). This is because different cancer types and causes may have different regulatory mechanisms ( Xu et al, 2019 ).…”
