Abstract:SUMMARY: A method is described for expressing bovine herpes virus-1 {BHV-I~ glyeoproteins gI and gIII in eukaryotic cells. These cells are prepared by transfection with plasmids containing the BHV-1 glycoprotein genes. The BHV-1 glycoproteins from these expressing cells as well as from BHV-1 infected cells can be purified by monoclonal antibody affinity chromatography. The BHV-1 expressing cells can be used as targets in immunologic assays and the affinity-purified glycoproteins are suitable for use in in vitr… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
