Expression profiles and prognostic significance of AFTPH in different tumors

Abstract: Aftiphilin (AFTPH) plays an important role in regulating intracellular trafficking, exocytosis, and pro‐inflammatory response. The potential role of AFTPH in cancers remains unclear. This study was the first to comprehensively analyze the expression profiles and prognostic role of AFTPH in solid tumors and hematological malignancies, as well as providing evidence for subsequent studies on the molecular mechanism governing this role. AFTPH was suggested to be a potential therapeutic target and prognostic biomar… Show more

“…Interestingly, the loss of AKAP12 and ZNF483 expression were described in prostate cancer [ 33 ] and acute lymphoblastic leukemia [ 34 ], respectively; on the other hand, AFTPH was the most up regulated circRNA in our analysis. This gene has been reported as a potential target and prognostic factor, because of its effects on proliferation, in different types of cancer such as breast cancer, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, lung squamous cell carcinoma, and pancreatic adenocarcinoma, in which it is over-expressed [ 35 ]. Nevertheless, there are no studies to date about the role of these circRNAs.…”

“…Some literature have been reported reducing the expression of ABBC4 in pancreatic cancer cells significantly inhibited the proliferation and migration of cancer cells [ 21 ]. AFTPH (Aftiphilin) was highly expressed in diffuse large B cell lymphoma, pancreatic adenocarcinoma, breast cancer, and lung squamous cell carcinoma and linked to poor prognosis [ 22 ]. Besides, high expression of ADAM15 was an independent risk factor for the prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma [ 23 ].…”
