Extensive and Persistent Extravascular Dermal Fibrin Deposition Characterizes Systemic Sclerosis

Abstract: Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is an autoimmune disease characterized by progressive multiorgan fibrosis. While the cause of SSc remains unknown, a perturbed vasculature is considered a critical early step in the pathogenesis.
