Abstract: Bimolecular fluorescence complementation (BiFC) methodology uses split fluorescent proteins to detect interactions between proteins in living cells. To date, BiFC has been used to investigate receptor dimerization by splitting the fluorescent protein between the intracellular portions of different receptor components.
