“…The monosaccharide composition is the most basic and important link in the structure analysis of polysaccharides, and due to the complexity of the structure, analysis of the monosaccharide composition of polysaccharides generally needs three steps: degradation of polysaccharides, structural modification of the monosaccharides, and their separation and detection. 12 In this study, S. chinensis polysaccharides were enriched by an optimized chemical technology, and the monosaccharides were obtained by acid hydrolysis, and, after derivatization, the monosaccharide composition of the polysaccharides was determined by HPLC-UV.
