Abstract:For the determination of tin(II) traces, an extractive spectrophotometric approach is devised. The applied method serves a powerful tool for determination of tin(II), involves the formation of yellow colored complex among the 6-bromo-3-hydroxy-2-(5-methylfuran-2-yl)-4H-chromen-4-one (BHMF) and tin(II) in 1:2 stiochiometry in a slightly acidic medium (HCl).
