Extraintestinal Clostridioides difficile infection

Abstract: Clostridioides (Clostridium) difficile is the major cause of healthcare antibiotic-associated diarrhoea. However, extra-intestinal manifestations of Clostridioides (Clostridium) difficile infection (CDI) (including bacteremia and tissue infection) are extremely rare.
