Abstract:Hypertriglyceridemia, a condition characterized by elevated levels of triglycerides is considered a major risk factor of metabolic syndrome. The present work aims to develop a hybrid nano-interfaced enzymatic sensor that employs three enzymes to hydrolyze the triglycerides, phosphorylate glycerol and finally oxidize it to generate the electrochemical signal. Triolein, a common long chained triglyceride found in biological systems was employed as the substrate. The sensor displayed an excellent response time of… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
