Aims The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted and delayed medical and surgical examinations where attendance is required in person. Our article aims to outline the validity of online assessment, the range of benefits to both candidate and assessor, and the challenges to its implementation. In addition, we propose pragmatic suggestions for its introduction into medical assessment. Methods We reviewed the literature concerning the present status of online medical and surgical assessment to establish the perceived benefits, limitations, and potential problems with this method of assessment. Results Global experience with online, remote virtual examination has been largely successful with many benefits conferred to the trainee, and both an economic and logistical advantage conferred to the assessor or organization. Advances in online examination software and remote proctoring are overcoming practical caveats including candidate authentication, cheating prevention, cybersecurity, and IT failure. Conclusion Virtual assessment provides benefits to both trainee and assessor in medical and surgical examinations and may also result in cost savings. Virtual assessment is likely to be increasingly used in the post-COVID world and we present recommendations for the continued adoption of virtual examination. With the rapid development of computers and the internet, information security is particularly important. In the past, identification is mainly used with passwords or ID cards, but it is easy to be stolen or forgotten. However face recognition systems can quickly and simply solve the problem, so currently, it begins to be widely used in various field. This passage will mainly introduce the application of face recognition system by reading a lot of literature. In the first section, the passage will provide the definition of face recognition system and its basic working principle. It is reported that the face recognition system has developed from simple rule-based recognition to mechanized automatic recognition. Afterwards, the application of face recognition system in various aspects will be introduced in this passage, it includes five broad applications in the financial field, education field, transportation field and public security field. In conclusion, now the world becomes more and more better because of the advance in science and technology, so face recognition is slowly recognized by people, and we also began to use it in different fields.

E-learning in higher education is exponentially increased during the past decade due to its inevitable benefits in critical situations like natural disasters, wars, and pandemic like COVID 2019. The reliable, fair, and seamless execution of online exams in E-learning is highly significant. Particularly, online exams are conducted on E-learning platforms without the physical presence of students and instructors at the same place. This poses several issues like integrity and security during online exams. To address such issues, researchers frequently proposed different techniques and tools. However, a study summarizing and analyzing latest developments, particularly in the area of online examination, is hard to find in the literature. In this article, a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of online examination is performed to select and analyze 53 studies published during the last five years (i.e. Jan 2016 to July 2020). Subsequently, five leading online exams features targeted in the selected studies are identified. Moreover, underlying development approaches for the implementation of online exams solutions are explored. Furthermore, 16 important techniques / algorithms and 11 datasets are presented. In addition to this, 21 online exams tools proposed in the selected studies are identified. Additionally, 25 leading existing tools used in the selected studies are also presented. Finally, the par-
