Facial pain after choking

Abstract

plaints of facial pain following a choking episode while eating chicken wings. He reported feeling like he was choking and subsequently coughed, after which he began experiencing facial pain and congestion.He was afebrile but had an elevated blood pressure with a normal heart F I G U R E 1 Computed tomography (CT) soft tissue neck showing evidence of a chicken bone angled and impacted into the ethmoid air cells. The patient was transferred to another hospital to be evaluated by the Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) specialists and had chicken bone removed endoscopically. He had a full recovery.
