Abstract

Cyclopropane derivatives Q 0021 Facile and Environmentally Benign Zn-Mediated Cyclopropanation of Electron-Deficient 2-Iodoethyl-Substituted Olefins via Radical 3-exo-trig Manner. -The cyclization of 2-iodoethyl-substituted olefins in the presence of zinc proceeds with good yields for substrates bearing an ester, amide, sulfone, and nitro group at the olefinic double bond, and dialkyl groups either at the 4-or 5-position as in compounds (I), (III), and (V).
