Abstract:Intracoronary thrombus formation results from the combined effects of platelet aggregation and fibrin formation. Fibrinogen plays a significant role in each of these components. Dethrombosis is a therapeutic approach that allows dissolution of a recent thrombus while avoiding the potent fibrinolytic therapies.
