The purpose of this study was to determine what risk factors caused the incidence of dengue hemorrhagic fever in Simpang Selayang Village, Kecamatan Medan Tuntungan in 2022. The method used in this study is a survey method with quantitative research conducted by distributing questionnaires and direct interviews with respondents using a case control approach. Data analysis used multiple logistic regression with a sample of 33 case respondents and 33 control respondents. The results showed that the influential variables were attitude, application of 3M Plus, habit of hanging clothes, and larva free rate on the incidence of dengue fever. The results showed that the influential variables were attitude (p = 0.046), the application of 3M Plus (p = 0.026), the habit of hanging clothes (p = 0.001), larvae-free rate (p = 0.037) on the incidence of dengue fever dengue in Simpang Selayang Village. Medan Tuntungan District in 2022 and the variables that had no effect were knowledge (p = 0.325) and use of mosquito repellent (p = 0.314). From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the most influential variable on the incidence of dengue fever is the habit of hanging clothes which has the greatest Exp.B value, which is 9.754 times greater.

Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is an infectious disease caused by the bite of the Aedes aegypti mosquito. This disease is still a health problem in Indonesia because the seasons are constantly changing and unpredictable, causing the disease to continue to rise and tends to be difficult to minimize. The main cause of this disease is related to the environment and the fact that there are still many mosquito larvae because the community does not carry out PSN (Mosquito Nest Eradication) and 3M Plus measures. And if the vector that causes DHF is not eradicated it can cause an outbreak. Epidemiological investigation activities are a form of community empowerment which aims to examine mosquito larvae which are vectors for DHF disease transmission and increase awareness of community behavior in carrying out DHF control and prevention. The method used was observation by observing the presence of Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae and interviews at RT 16, Lamaru Village, targeting DHF case sufferers and the people who live around it, as well as socialization regarding PSN DHF and 3M Plus and distribution of abate powder door to door. The results of the activities of the 20 houses examined were 75% positive for mosquito larvae in the bathtub and unused items in residents' homes with a larva-free rate of 25% where these results were still very low and did not meet the target of 95%. Efforts to prevent DHF can be increased through this activity with the community doing 3M Plus & PSN routinely every week.

Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) merupakan penyakit menular yang disebabkan oleh virus dengue, yang ditularkan melalui vektor nyamuk Aedes dari spesies Aedes aegypti atau Aedes albopictus dan dapat menyerang anak-anak maupun remaja. Data Dinas Kesehatan Kota Kendari menunjukkan pada tahun 2022, jumlah kasus DBD di Kota Kendari sebanyak 230 dengan jumlah kematian enam orang. Meskipun program pencegahan DBD sudah dilaksanakan oleh petugas kesehatan, namun belum mampu menurunkan angka penularan penyakit DBD. DBD merupakan penyakit berbasis lingkungan yang timbul akibat interaksi antara manusia, perilakunya, dan unsur lingkungan yang berpotensi menularkan penyakit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan dengan kejadian Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Wua-Wua Kota Kendari tahun 2023. Metode penelitian observasional analitik dengan desain cross-sectional. Populasi penelitian ini terdiri dari seluruh keluarga wilayah kerja Puskesmas Wua-Wua yang berjumlah 110 responden, dengan teknik penarikan sampel menggunakan teknik proportional random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, wawancara, pengukuran, dan observasi, kemudian dianalisis secara univariat dan bivariat. Hasil penelitian dengan uji chi-square menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan pengetahuan dengan kejadian DBD (p-value = 0,129), tidak terdapat hubungan sikap dengan kejadian DBD (p-value = 0,393), terdapat hubungan tindakan dengan kejadian DBD (p-value = 0,007). Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan dan sikap tidak memiliki hubungan dengan kejadian DBD, sedangkan tindakan memiliki hubungan dengan kejadian DBD.
