Abstract:We characterize the universal far-from-equilibrium dynamics of the isolated two-dimensional quantum Heisenberg model. For a broad range of initial conditions, we find a long-lived universal prethermal regime characterized by self-similar behavior of spin-spin correlations. We analytically derive the spatial-temporal scaling exponents and find excellent agreement with numerics using phase space methods. The scaling exponents are insensitive to the choice of initial conditions, which include coherent and incoher… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
