Fast Neutron Measurement System Using Prompt Gamma Neutron Activation Solid Converter: Monte Carlo Study

Abstract: Measuring fast neutron emission around accelerators is important for purposes of environmental monitoring and radiation safety. It is necessary to detect two types of neutrons: thermal and fast. Fast neutron spectroscopy is commonly employed using a hydrogen-recoil proportional-counter; however, its threshold is 2 MeV.
