Abstract:In this chapter, we outline the current state of research for the design of fault tolerant wireless sensor networks. First, we discuss the various notions of faults as concerns a wireless sensor network, including fault characteristics, sources of faults, and random faults versus faults with particular temporal, geographical, or topology-related patterns. Second, we discuss techniques for fault prevention and management including techniques for detection and recovery. Finally, we provide a particular focus on … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
